About the Award
The Aurora Perpetual Trophy is a prestigious recognition presented annually at the Aurora Arabian Horse Show, honouring the very best of our community. Each year, the Board selects one of the award categories below to present — keeping the recognition fresh, meaningful, and eagerly anticipated.
Nominations are open to the public as well as the Board. Voting is conducted by the Board at the meeting prior to the show, ensuring a fair and thoughtful selection process. Nominees should be submitted with a brief explanation of why they deserve the honour.
The trophy travels home with each winner. A personalized engraved plaque bearing their name, the year, and the award category is added — building a lasting record of Aurora's most cherished community members.
Please note: The previous year's winner is not eligible for the following year's award, ensuring the honour is shared broadly across our community.
The winner receives the Aurora Perpetual Trophy to take home for the year. A custom engraved plaque is added with the winner's name, the year awarded, and the award category — permanently commemorating their contribution to the Aurora community.

Aurora Community Champion Award
This award celebrates individuals, families or businesses that have made a significant contribution to our community. It recognizes those who consistently offer their support and assistance — whether through volunteering, sponsorship, advocacy, behind-the-scenes involvement, or who show exceptional sportsmanship in our industry. The Aurora Community Champion Award honours those who embody the spirit of camaraderie, inclusiveness and long-term commitment to our mission and values.
Legacy Horse Award
A heartwarming and unique way to recognize horses that have given years to the sport. This award celebrates longevity, dedication, and the enduring spirit of the Arabian breed — honouring the four-legged partners whose presence has enriched our community across seasons and shows.
Trainer Recognition Award
Honouring a trainer who exemplifies sportsmanship, mentorship, horsemanship, and commitment to the values of Aurora and the Arabian industry at large. This award recognizes those who elevate everyone around them — competitors, students, and horses alike.
