THE BEGINNING
Rescue 100 Horses Foundation was established in February 2008 after Susan Fyfe of Keno Hills Stables received a call from the Alberta SPCA asking if she could take in 159 horses that were in distress and needing immediate care.

It was an easy decision and Susan and a team of volunteers quickly prepared the pastures to receive the abused and neglected horses. 60 of the horses staved to dealth before they could make it to emergency care. The remaining 99 were delivered to Susan's property and began their journey back to health under the care of the Rescue 100 Horses Foundation.

SINCE THEN
Over 200 horses have received a second chance at life because of the Rescue 100 Horses Foundation. It takes dedicated volunteers and generous donations to care for each horse and prepare them for placement in "loving" forever homes.

Abuse and neglect of horses in Alberta continues to increase and becomes more severe in the winter months. Winter provides extreme challenges in terms of food, shelter and water. Each horse requires the basic necessities to live a healthy, happy life and the Rescue 100 Horses Foundation provides the care and love to give the horses the life they deserve.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Rescue 100 is fully operated by volunteers and relies completely upon donations to provide the care needed to prepare the horses for life in a new home. Donations of all kinds are greatly appreciated and volunteers are always welcome to attend an orientation meeting. Memberships are available for $25 and include a Rescue 100 t-shirt and quarterly newsletter.

Cash donations can be made online through Canada Helps http://www.canadahelps.org/CharityProfilePage.aspx?CharityID=s101440 by phone at 780.464.9988 and 1.877.776.9988 or by email rescue100horsesfoundation@gmail.com
Donations of supplies and feed are also greatly appreciated.

large product photo

Susan Fyfe and Keno Hills worked in partnership with Rescue 100 Horses Foundation to rehabilitate and re-home abused horses. The story started with the rescue of 100 horses seized by the ASPCA in the spring of 2008. Since then Susan and the Rescue 100 Horses Foundation Team has successfully placed this entire herd into forever homes.

THE NEED CONTINUES ...

Rescue 100 Horses Foundation will continue to answer the need to rehabilitate horses removed from abusive situations. We welcome your support. If you would like more information or would like to help in this effort please visit:
