Main Ring Judge
Michael Van Handel Meet Michael Van Handel, the judge for our 2025 show! Hailing from the picturesque state of Wisconsin, Michael brings over two decades of experience in owning and breeding Arabians and Half Arabians, including several National Champions. As an active amateur competitor and showman, he knows the ins and outs of the show ring. Michael's academic background is just as impressive, with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a Master's degree in Business Administration. By day, he works in Marketing for Purina Animal Nutrition, a subsidiary of Land O'Lakes, Inc., where he combines his passion for animals with his professional expertise. With his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience, Michael Van Handel is sure to bring a unique and insightful perspective to the judging panel at Aurora 2025! Dressage & Sport Horse Judge
Rebecca Cade We are delighted to introduce Rebecca Cade, a distinguished FEI-level competitor, rider, and trainer, as our Dressage and Sport Horse Judge. Hailing from Red Deer, Alberta, Rebecca brings a wealth of experience and passion to our event. Rebecca is a certified NCCP Level 1 coach, an AEF-certified dressage judge, and an Equestrian Canada Basic Dressage judge. Her lifelong love for horses began at an early age, and she has had the privilege of learning from many top FEI and Olympic riders in Alberta. With her extensive expertise and unwavering dedication to the sport, we are thrilled to have Rebecca join us. Welcome, Rebecca! |
